Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life and it’s going to fly by even faster than you can realize!

Therefore, it is vital that you feel comfortable with me, as your photographer. I want you to relax and enjoy every single moment of your special day and know that I’ll be capturing your day beautifully.

Often you will have a few questions for me, So here are some of the most frequently asked ones for you to go through

  • How to book a shoot with me?

Check my availability by popping me an email with the date, and venue for your wedding or shoot and all the important info surrounding the shoot

Eagerly await my reply (give me at least 48 hours to reply)

We can have coffee, then Afterwards, I send the invoice, pay the 50% non-refundable booking fee to secure your date

Read though my terms and condition, sign and email back the contract and booking form.

Taaaadaaaa I am your photographer {oh yay}

  • How can I make my wedding Photos really amazing!

I get asked this question a lot by brides. here are a few “tips” to make your wedding photos extra amazing

*Hire a professional-  you get what you pay for, so make sure that you see your wedding photos as an investment and that you allocate at least 10-15% of your wedding budget to Photography and wedding albums
*It’s all in the details-  weddings with lots of detail make for beautiful photos. From a sweet message sowed into the grooms tie to beautiful stationary
*Light, and lots of it- soft natural light always makes for great photography, so try have lots of it. From the reception to where you get dressed have a more natural and a well lit space.
*RELAX!- I promise my camera will not bite (LOL, that makes for a funny image in my head), so relax, have fun, be yourself and trust me. I always suggest an E-session before the wedding because you will see its real easy to get your photo taken and in fact its really fun, just think like a super model and strike a pose
If you would like more ideas, or would like to bounce ideas off me, I would love to discuss this in our meeting. (wedding planning is SO much fun)

  •  Are dates provisionally held?

Unfortunately not!

A deposit and a completed contract are required to confirm your booking. I have a number of clients sharing/ requesting the same date, so first deposit secures.

NO Cheques or cash bank deposits! (Add 10% on cheque or cash bank deposits)

  • Will you personally be photographing the wedding or lifestyle session?

Yup, me and my assistant. You are hiring me for your special occasion, and not another photographer working under my name.

  • What time is needed for the photographs?

I arrive 2-3 hours before (depends on package) and half an hour before I am contracted to start to meet and greet everyone and scout.

*Decor shots: 30 min (I prefer to shoot this, before I go to the bride. Please ask your decor people to be done on time.)
*Groom details, portraits and the guys together before the ceremony – 30min
*Bride details, portraits and the girls together before the ceremony: 45-min to 1hour
*Ceremony: 30 min – 1 hour
*Family & Group shots: 20 min – 30 min (please ensure that you send me a list of the group photographs that you would like)
*Couple photos: 1 hour + (please ensure you allocate enough time for the photos before sunset.
*Reception: all depends on you and the package chosen…
* When should we do the wedding portraits?

This is mostly up to you, but usually a couple of hours before the wedding ceremony or immediately following the ceremony. Shooting after the ceremony, depending on the time, will allow you to take advantage of the setting sun and its softer light. So summer is around 6-7pm and in winter 4-5 pm. I will let you know what is the best time, so you can arrange the wedding to fit in Mother Nature’s schedule.

  • Do you use an assistant and how many people will be photographing on the day!?

Yes I do, I have a lovely assistant and she also acts as a great second shooter. On the day there will be two people, so please ensure that you book dinner for the both of us.

  • Do you photograph scenes from the dance floor and other moments from the day?

Yes I capture everything from the flower girl playing with the brides shoes while she gets ready, to grand-dad throwing it down on the dance floor and your guests doing the gungnam. All of it forms part of your day I will take great effort to ensure I capture all the spontaneous moments

  • Do you photograph in RAW-format?

Yes. RAW allows me to get the best quality and image detail when I am processing the photos.

  • Do you shoot in Black & White?

I love B&W photographs. It was my favourite thing when I studied Analogue. Since I shoot digital, this allows me to decide after the fact, whether I want to process the image in B&W or Colour. I offer a selection of B&W images in the images I give you.

  •  Do you offer albums?

Yes. I offer albums with selected packages and  I offer extra custom-designed albums, parent albums and guest albums for you to add to the package. You can view sample hardbound coffee-table photo books on my package page or over a cup of coffee.

  • Who chooses the photographs in the album?

I will send you a digital proof where I select all the images, you can then make three sets of changes. However, I do advise that you let me choose the majority of the photos for the album since I will use my best judgment to select the best and more relevant photos show casing your photos in a time line fashion that will let your wedding be told in a story like fashion.

  • How long will your post-processing take?

I love the spending time in all the details, ensuring that the photos are at their best when I give them to you. Let me bring out the best of your wedding day through professional editing, but this will take time.  Lifestyle will be from 3 to 5 weeks and Weddings 6 to12 weeks. Quality takes time!

  • Where are you based?

I am based in Pretoria, but I do travel for shoots and weddings over the 100km roundtrip included in all my packages. I am willing to travel both nationally and internationally. Please contact me if you wish to know more about travel costs for your destination wedding. Flights, accommodation and car hire required for destination weddings (if applicable).
